Cognivault Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-registered company (number 15678901) operating cognivault.org.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
Data we collect
We only collect what is necessary to deliver our service:
- Name and email address (when you create an account or place an order)
- Billing and shipping details (for orders)
- Your uploaded research paper (only for production)
- Correspondence (emails, support messages)
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device info (via Google Analytics – anonymised)
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
How we use your data
- To create and deliver your audio/video episode
- To send order confirmations, updates, and download links
- To provide customer support
- To improve our website (anonymised analytics)
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax, accounting)
Legal basis: Contract (to fulfil your order), Legitimate interests (support & site improvement), Consent (newsletter).
Data storage & security
Your data is stored securely in the UK/EU on encrypted servers. We use Stripe for payments — we never see or store your card details.
Research papers are deleted from our systems 30 days after final delivery unless you ask us to keep them.
